I always found the movie “Evan Almighty” as a boring exaggerated comedy. I never got it to the finish line. I always stopped when the wife and children left. So, I never knew how the movie actually ends or what is going on after the family left him alone. However, today I watched it from when the wife left till the end. There was a nice advice that Al Mighty gave to Evan’s wife. He said:

If someone prays for patience, do you think God gives them patience? Or does he give them the opportunity to be patient? If he prayed for courage, does God give him courage, or does he give him opportunities to be courageous? If someone prayed for the family to be closer, do you think God zap them with warm fuzzy feelings, or does he give them opportunities to love each other?

I, personally, think that this question is very true. God gives us the opportunity to be what we wish, he won’t give us what we wish.

If you pray for a love, God will give you an opportunity to love and being love. If you pray for a success, God will give you an opportunity to be successful.

Whether we are able to manage the opportunity and turn it around into the result we want, it really depends on our own self. The problem here is when we failed, we tend to blame the God. Wake up, people! It’s time to work on our opportunity. Even this life, despite long or short, is an opportunity. Our life is our opportunity to reshape our karma and change our world.

How to change our world? Al Mighty in that movie said:

One Act of Random Kindness at a time.

It just needs a heart to initiate the will to change and be changed. For the better. For love, for peace and happiness.

Good Luck!
